Threadhopping: Yes.
Fourth-walling: Maybe, if appropriate (ex. in a 4th wall meme).
God/Infomodding: No.
[ IC ]
Hugging: Please do, even if he might be uncomfortable at first.
Kissing: He's got no lips by default...but yes, please.
Flirting: Feel free. He likes the idea of flirting but probably doesn't always succeed, haha.
Smut: Provided that you're okay with a robot, yes.
Shipping: Open to organic beings and fellow robots, especially if they enjoy music or are at least open to listening. Age wise, #2's age is unknown but mun strongly prefers 25+.
Fighting: Not a fighter but it'd hurt more to try to hit him than a squishy human?
Injuring: Sure.
Killing:
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities: Would it work? Let's discuss!
Gen/platonic: Yes, more friends!
[ Bio; contains robot suicide ]
Character name: Hero Robot No. 2, or just "#2"
Canon: Electroma
*Height: 5'7
*Age: Unknown. At the time the film was made, Guy-Manuel was 32 so maybe that?
Model: According to his anatomy photo (see below), it's GM08. The photo shows V4 which is a newer version. Since #2 is from Electroma, he is GM08-V3 (reference).
*Voice: Speech via built in vocoder and talkbox. He can change his voice but tends to gravitate towards sounding lower and quieter than #1's. 2:00 and the entirety of this.
Story: No spoken dialogue throughout the movie, but like #1, he had a desire to be human. Whether they were once human (such as the story Daft Punk told about themselves in "real life") or were robots from the beginning are unknown. Between the two of them, #2 was probably the more "logical" of the two in that he was sooner to discard his not-so-convincing human disguises than #1 was. During their long hiking trek, #2 noticed that #1 would slow his pace or stop entirely before continuing with him again.
Eventually, #1 couldn't carry on with the burden of being who they were and what they might never be.
#2 got the message and activated his friend's self-destruct switch. He stood at the site of the rubble for a while before assembling #1's remains to formed a grave of sorts for him. #2 continued on alone, well into the evening until he collapsed to his knees. Without another to assist him, he was still able to immolate himself and used his last moments to continue wandering the desert as his body burns in the night.
Personality: Practical but also very philosophical. His aloof personality may be off putting for some and still intriguing to many. #2's not as talkative as #1 initially, but if a subject matter gets his attention and he's comfortable enough, he can ramble. It may be difficult to tell how he's feeling outside of body language if he doesn't display anything on screen or say anything himself, but if he wants to make his feelings known, he will. He is incredibly supportive of those he cares about and will do anything to help them. No gesture is too large.
Overall, he's a shy and sometimes awkward robot who would rather have another person do the talking for him. If they're not doing it right, then he will speak up. Otherwise, he's content to roll with whatever is being thrown. He can be more talkative and friendly to those who show interest in music, movies, arts etc. His varied tastes leaves him open minded although he does have his preferences towards music from the 60's - 80's.*
Appearance/Anatomy: Robot with a humanoid appearance. His helmet works as a screen display* and is removable. Default outfit consists of a black leather jacket with matching leather pants. He notably possesses a self-destruct switch on his back
We can talk about the more intimate stuff if you're interested. Happy to AU him as an android with an actual human face etc.
Disclaimer: *Denote when I incorporate/mix up general Daft Punk lore, from interviews and headcanons.
While I heavily factor in Daft Punk's music for inspiration, I do not write #2 as though he is Guy-Manuel himself.
That said, I ship #1 and #2 like the rest of the Daft Punk fandom. :U And they themselves seem to be ok with it.
